Fugro is pleased to submit an expression of interest to provide specialist road pavement design and rehabilitation services in support of NDRRA projects. Fugro is well known to Abigroup having provided specialist road condition testing including: ride quality and structural capacity testing mostly in NSW and SE Queensland. For NDRRA we can provide the following services:

• Pavement and rehabilitation design using mechanistic and empirical based methods in accordance with the Austroads Design and Transport Main Roads requirements by RPEQ qualified civil engineers. This service is core to our business and a task that we undertake for multi-disciplinary engineering consultancies who call upon our specialist services in this area.
  
  
• Structural and ride quality testing to identify areas requiring rehabilitation or reconstruction so that material quantities and design specifications can be best determined in order to meet the design traffic volumes. This may also include the use of pavement management systems to assist in planning and forward budget planning.
  
  
• Geotechnical materials testing including boreholes, DCP, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and standard geotechnical laboratory testing for road materials and aggregates.
  
  
• Spatial and Land Surveying using traditional and airborne systems including satellite imagery to assist in the location, mapping, creation of maps and layout of construction projects.
  
  
• Post Construction testing in order to demonstrate that 'value-for-money' has been achieved. This includes roughness testing, creation of a video log of completed works, creating ARMIS upload file and non-destructive structural testing to ensure compliance with design criteria. Fugro Pavement Quality Reassurance System (PQRS) has been accepted by State Road Authorities and Treasuries across Australia and New Zealand.
  
  
• Justification of Reconstruction Budgets by combining advanced field testing with detailed engineering justification solid budget bids and justification for funding can be made.
